1,000 Kills and Dataluxe Slant-X2 - Camo achieved and received. If you want the Dataluxe Slant-X2 - Camo then simply get 1,000 kills before the event ends. This is part of the 4th of July Frag Fest that started a week ago.
Last week, Blacklight: Retribution started its 4th of July Frag Fest Event. One of the highlights of this event was the 1,000 Kills challenged. Any individual player who gets 1,000 Kills before the event ends will receive a special Dataluxe Slant-X2 helmet. What makes this helmet special is due to the fact that it displays your currently equipped body camo on its faceplate.

I already own the standard Dataluxe Slant-X2 helmet but I still wanted to get this special one because it would look good with my current armor camo which is the Secret Silver armor camo. Also, this special Dataluxe Slant-X2 doesn’t have any other advantage. It’s just a re-skin of the standard Dataluxe Slant-X2.
I started aiming for 1,000 kills on the first day of the event but I only completed it today because I was only averaging like 10 kills per match. Don’t bother knowing the number of times I die per match because it’s horrible. Besides, deaths won’t affect the number of kills I got as long as I get 1,000 kills, the number deaths doesn’t matter. He he he!

Unfortunately, stats are not yet implemented in Blacklight: Retribution. If I wanted to know my number of kills then I’d have to count it manually which I didn’t do because the game was already tracking it. Besides, during this event, the game was rewarding players 500 GP per 100 kills and this reward was sent through the in-game mail.
All I had to do to know how many kills I had was to count my 100 kills/event reward mails from the Admin. I couple of days ago, I received five 100 kills/event reward mails which translate to 500 kills. Today, I received another four 100 kills/event reward mails and, a few hours later, I received my 1,000 Kills Achieved mail. The special Dataluxe Slant-X2 was attached to this mail from the Admin.

The 4th of July Frag Fest Event ends today, July 10, 2012, at 11:59 PM. If you still haven’t received your 1,000 kills reward then you can either patiently wait for it or contact PWE Support. Also, count your 100 kills/event reward mails to get an idea of how many kills you got.
