Are you excited to play Ragnarok Online 2 SEA? Unfortunately, Asiasoft, the publisher of the first English server of Ragnarok Online is blocking access to all players who are not in the following countries; Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Ragnarok Online 2′s first English servers are provided by Asiasoft but it’s now blocking access to players outside Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Players who are not from the four mentioned countries will have no access to the game. For example, players from the Philippines are now getting the dreaded, “Can’t connect to server. Please try again later.” error message in-game.

Ragnarok Online 2: The Legend of the Second is the official sequel to the very popular MMORPG, Ragnarok Online. Before Ragnarok Online 2: The Legend of the Second, there was Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World but it was scrapped because of poor reception from the fans. A new game was developed instead and that’s Ragnarok Online 2: The Legend of the Second.
Ragnarok Online 2 or RO2 features the same anime-like character style that became popular with the original Ragnarok Online MMORPG but, unlike it’s 2D counterpart, RO2 is now in full 3D.
Unfortunately, only players from four countries will get to enjoy and play Ragnarok Online 2: The Legend of the Second. Other players will have to wait for a local publisher to release the game before they can return back to Midgard. According to various sources, NA and Philippine players will have an English server of Ragnarok Online 2 in the early first half of 2013.
For now, players not in the included four countries of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam can try using public proxies to connect to the game but it’s not guaranteed to always work. Those with money can purchase a VPN server in Malaysia or Singapore and they can use it to connect to the game.
Of course, using proxies and VPNs are only for those who can’t wait to play or try the game. Again, it may not always work and the speed of the connection may cause unnecessary lag in the game.
