How To Beat Asiasoft’s Country Block or IP Block On Ragnarok Online 2 SEA

Ragnarok Online 2 | Posted on January 8th, 2013 by Kabalyero (Last modified on January 18, 2013)

Are you blocked from playing Ragnarok Online 2 SEA because you're not in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam? If you are then here are two methods that you can use to connect to the game and both methods are very simple to use.

Ragnarok Online 2 SEA is only for players in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. If you are outside any of these countries then you’re out of luck because you won’t be able to access nor play the game. This was announced by the publisher of Ragnarok Online 2 SEA a few hours before Open Beta started.

Fortunately, you can still play the game even though you’re not in any of the four mentioned countries. If you don’t know how then I’ll tell you how in this post because, like you, I’m also blocked from accessing Asiasoft’s Ragnarok Online 2. The two methods that I’ll show you are very, very easy to do.

Hotspot Shield

The first method is by using Hotspot Shield. It will connect you to a VPN server outside your country. With Hotspot Shield, your connection will become anonymous because Hotspot Shield will hide your true IP address. Hotspot Shield can also get you access to most sites and online services by going through firewalls.

I’ve been using Hotspot Shield since the Open Beta launch of Ragnarok Online 2 SEA. Some people are saying that it doesn’t work but, for me, it’s working great. The game lags a little because of it but it’s better than not having any access at all.

The simple video below will show you how I connected to Ragnarok Online 2 SEA using Hotspot Shield. View the video below in YouTube and click on the link in the description to download Hotspot Shield. It’s FREE.

WTFast

The second method that you can use is WTFast. It’s a program that eliminate extra lag by connecting you from a server that’s close to your location. You can use it to connect to Ragnarok Online 2 SEA by choosing a server in Singapore and Malaysia. The country block will not take effect because the game will see you connecting from an allowed location or country.

I tried WTFast and it works. Unfortunately, WTFast is not totally free but you can use it for 30 days without getting charged. After 30 days, you can choose to pay a subscription or you can create an account and continue using it for free but it will disconnect you every 20 minutes. Still, 30 days of worry free access to Ragnarok Online 2 SEA is enough for anyone to give WTFast a try.

The video below will show you how I used WTFast to connect to Ragnarok Online 2 Sea. View the video in YouTube and click on the link in the description to download WTFast for free.

Hopefully, one of these two methods will work for you as the have worked for me. If you encounter any problems then why not share it and post it below as a comment. I may not be able to help you with it but, who knows, someone might.

You can also share other methods that worked for you. Just post it as a comment below as well.
